Honey Garlic Soy Chicken Thigh Marinade
By Mitch · February 23, 2026
Mitch's go-to chicken. Soy, garlic, honey, and a punch of cumin make this stupidly good on the grill or in the oven. You will want to make it every week.

Ingredients
- 6 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 lb (about 6-8) boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Method
- 1
In a large bowl, combine garlic cloves, extra virgin olive oil, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and ground cumin.

Add boneless and coat evenly. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 4-6 hours.

To bake, preheat your oven to 425°F. Arrange in a single layer on a sheet pan and bake for 15-18 minutes until the internal temp hits 155-160°F.

Rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This is Mitch's all-time favourite recipe. Could genuinely eat it every single day.
- Honestly, sometimes I let it marinade for 5 minutes and it's fine. Don't sweat it.
- Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
